Kanari was born in Japan, trained in ballet, jazz and traditional Japanese dance. She then moved to NYC, USA where she trained in oriental dance with Yousry Sharif and Elena Lentini for 12 years.

 Kanari now lives in Bangkok, Thailand where she teaches and performs. She regularly gives workshops and shows in NYC and Tokyo.
